Amandeep Sidhu Appointed to the Washington Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights and Urban Affairs’ Board of Directors

Winston & Strawn partner Amandeep Sidhu was selected to serve on the Board of Directors for the Washington Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights and Urban Affairs (WLC). In this capacity, Amandeep will help the organization further its civil rights work and its mission to fight discrimination, repair the damages of historic racial inequity, and break down barriers to opportunity.

Per the organization’s website, WLC works to create legal, economic, and social equity through litigation, client and public education, and public policy advocacy. While WLC fights discrimination against all people, it recognize the central role that current and historic race discrimination plays in sustaining inequity and recognize the critical importance of identifying, exposing, combating, and dismantling the systems that sustain racial oppression. WLC partners with individuals and communities facing discrimination and with the legal community to achieve justice.
