At Winston & Strawn, we are known for our culture of care and our commitment to fostering the well-being of our attorneys and professional staff. We offer a wide range of well-being resources including customized, individualized support. It’s all designed to ensure that our attorneys and professional staff have the tools they need to achieve peak personal and professional performance.
We offer firmwide educational programming designed to help our attorneys and professional staff optimize their personal well-being. These virtual programs often feature outside experts and cover topics ranging from stress management and meditation to learned optimism and how to form good habits.
During the firm’s monthly Wellness Wednesday Sessions, attorneys and professional staff learn and practice meditation, deep breathing techniques, emotional freedom technique (EFT), and progressive muscle relaxation.
Mental Health Support
Our deep commitment to well-being is reflected in our firmwide Mental Health First Aid Responders program. Throughout the firm, we have more than 70 professional staff and attorneys who have received training on how to recognize the signs of a potential mental health challenge or substance abuse issue and offer effective support and resources.
We pride ourselves on striving for excellence in everything we do and it’s very hard to excel if you’re not well.

These sessions help our people achieve peak personal and professional performance through meditation training, stress reduction, enhanced work-life integration, and learning to set better boundaries.
