Winston & Strawn partner Charlie Papavizas was interviewed by Platts Energy Week on the Jones Act’s impact on the U.S. domestic oil trade and prices.
In the interview, Mr. Papavizas discussed how freight rates for U.S.-flag vessels may impact the price of gasoline, criticism of the Jones Act as an impediment to free trade, and how some companies have attempted to circumvent the Jones Act through processing crude oil in Canada or the Bahamas.
