Winston & Strawn’s Los Angeles office, the firm’s first West Coast office, is home to more than 100 attorneys and professional staff. Located on Bunker Hill in the heart of downtown Los Angeles, we are in close proximity to many of the city’s major cultural institutions and sports facilities. Our office provides breathtaking views of the Los Angeles basin, from the beaches of the Pacific Ocean to the peaks of the San Gabriel Mountains.
With an eye toward providing legal services to the 8th largest economy in the world, the firm expanded to California in 1999 with the opening of the Los Angeles office, bringing in a notable team of restructuring, corporate lending, private equity, and commercial litigation attorneys. Over the past decade, we have quickly grown our presence to offer legal services to clients in a number of other key areas, developing footprints in the energy and financial services industries, and practice experience in intellectual property and labor and employment.
With a culture that represents Southern California’s entrepreneurial spirit, our attorneys are regularly honored with high-profile awards and recognitions, among them Chambers USA, The American Lawyer, the Daily Journal, and The Recorder.
Our Los Angeles office is very involved with volunteer programs in Southern California. Both attorneys and professional staff work side-by-side on community initiatives, such as volunteering at the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank, the Children’s Institute Mattel Holiday Party, the Los Angeles Bar Association’s Food From The Bar campaign, and GRID Alternatives, which install solar power systems to families in need to help them conserve energy and save money.
