Jeffrey Elkin is a partner in the firm’s corporate department who concentrates his practice in the areas of securities law, asset securitization, and corporate trust matters.
Mr. Elkin’s experience includes work on public and private debt and equity financings, trustee representations in debt and collateralized/securitized asset transactions, unit investment trusts, depositary representation in American Depositary Receipt transactions, and the purchase and sale of corporate trust operations.
His representative clients include HSBC Bank USA, National Association; The Bank of New York Mellon; The Bank of New York Mellon Trust Company, National Association; Wilmington Trust Company, Deutsche Bank Trust Company Americas; Deutsche Bank National Trust Company; Wells Fargo Bank, National Association; U.S. Bank National Association; and JPMorgan Chase Bank, N.A.
Activities
Mr. Elkin is co-chairman of the firm's Corporate Opinion Committee and the New York Associates Training Committee.
Education
Mr. Elkin received a J.D., cum laude, from the American University in 1971, where he served as notes editor for the American University Law Review. He received a B.A. from the American University in 1967.
