Carole Arribes is a partner in the corporate department of the Paris office who focuses her practice on regulated industries including the energy, utility, communications, and technology sectors.

Ms. Arribes has more than 15 years of experience advising both French and international energy and technology companies in regulatory compliance, contractual arrangements, and transactional work.

In the energy sector, her recent experience includes a particular focus on the renewable energy sector, in particular advising one of the leader companies of the wind energy sector on all legal matters in France. She has assisted British, U.S., Norwegian, and French oil and gas companies in regulatory and contractual matters in Algeria, Madagascar, Niger, Chad, and Cameroon. In France, Ms. Arribes has assisted Latin American and European energy companies in reviewing and surveying the liberalized French energy markets. She also has assisted clients in subsidiary formation, power-generation auctions, and trading regulations in other European countries.

Ms. Arribes also advises communications and technology companies in contractual matters in connection with software licensing, maintenance, distribution, outsourcing, facilities management, and e-commerce operations.


Activities

Ms. Arribes is a member of the French Renewable Energy Syndicate (SER), the Association on Energy and Environment (ATEE), and the Association for Telecommunication and Computer Law (AFDIT).


Education

Ms. Arribes received a degree in Corporate, Commercial and International Law in 1992 from the University of Aix-Marseille III-Institute of Corporate Law. She participated in a U.S. firm Summer Trainee Programme in New York in 1992 and in the British Council European Programme at the Old College of Law of Edinburgh University in 1994. She was admitted to the Paris Bar in 1995.
