Michael Woods is a litigation associate in the firm's Washington, DC office. Mr. Woods focuses his practice in intellectual property matters, in particular, patent litigation and counseling. He has represented clients in litigation involving a variety of technologies, including matters related to computer software, Internet technologies, telecommunications devices, video games, and medical devices.
Specifically, Mr. Woods has advised on patent matters related to cardiovascular stents, washing machines, disk storage systems and message routing in servers, tire pressure monitoring, LCDs, wireless data compression and acceleration, and rotary fan presses. He has successfully represented these clients, and others, in some of the nation's leading patent jurisdictions, Northern District of California and Eastern District of Texas.
Activities
Mr. Woods is a member of the American Intellectual Property Law Association and the Federalist Society.
Education
Mr. Woods received a B.S. in Physics from the United States Naval Academy in 1986. He received J.D., cum laude, from George Mason University School of Law in 2006.
