William Sunkel is a senior attorney in the firm's New York office who concentrates his practice in labor and employment relations litigation and counseling matters. Mr. Sunkel represents employers in the defense of employment discrimination and sexual harassment claims, as well as in various contractual disputes and matters involving the enforceability of restrictive covenants, in both federal and state courts, before administrative agencies, and in arbitration. He also has extensive experience in complex commercial litigation matters.
Education
Mr. Sunkel received a B.A. in English, summa cum laude, from Hunter College in 1985 and a J.D., cum laude, from Pace University School of Law in 1988, where he was research and writing editor of the Pace Law Review.
Speeches and Publications
Mr. Sunkel is co-author of "Restrictive Covenants and Employee Raiding: Recent Developments in New York Law," which was published in the NYC Bar Association in October 2004. Mr. Sunkel is the author of "City of Renton v. Playtime Theatres: Court Approved Censorship Through Zoning," 7 Pace Law Review 251 (Fall 1988).
