Winston & Strawn labor and employment partner Joe Torres, based in the Chicago office, was among the speakers during the American Bar Association Section of Labor & Employment Law, 3rd Annual CLE Conference held November 4-7, 2009 in Washington, D.C.

Mr. Torres led a discussion titled "Stop! I Say Stop Again! The Developing Law of NLRB Remedies." This program featured industry practitioners discussing substantial developments in the ever-changing landscape of labor and employment remedies available from the National Labor Relations Board.

Other topics for discussion at this year's event included:

• Layoffs and corporate restructuring in a troubled economy
• The Obama Administration's labor and employment initiatives
• Recent labor and employment legislative developments
• Wage and hour developments
• Claims relating to cyberspace issues: Blogging, texts, Twitter and GPS

The Section's 3rd Annual CLE Conference is designed to provide attendees with the opportunity to meet and talk with top labor and employment practitioners representing plaintiffs, employers, unions, as well as in-house counsel, academics and government attorneys.
