Charlotte Summers Mentor Aspiring Law Students
Blog
July 7, 2017
Charlotte Summer Associates Peyton Miller and Kevin Zhao enjoyed mentoring high school students through Winston’s participation in the Wake Forest Summer Immersion Law Institute. They each mentored a team of students and then served as Supreme Court Justices for the Institute’s moot court component.
The Wake Forest Institute is a week-long program that provides high school students with access to top attorneys, law firms, and insight about careers in law. Participants learn about civil, criminal, and transactional litigation and have the opportunity to analyze and argue their cases in a moot court simulation.
The Charlotte office summer program provides real work experience in litigation and transactions and features social activities ranging from an interactive escape room adventure to a local wine tasting event.
