Winston Develops Its Employees
Blog
May 7, 2014
I am proof that Winston & Strawn cares about its staff’s professional and personal goals. I joined Winston’s Washington, D.C. office attorney recruiting department in 2007. Less than a year after my arrival, a manager position became available in the business development department. This opportunity piqued my interest because I had experience in marketing from my prior firm. Before I knew it, I had moved into the business development position and was welcomed into the new department.
Several years later my spouse accepted a job offer in Charlotte, NC. The firm allowed me to transfer to Winston’s Charlotte office and continue my business development duties there. I loved having the ability to support attorneys across the firm from my home office in Charlotte. In 2012, I had the opportunity to take on Charlotte’s office administrator role. I greeted yet another new challenge at Winston with open arms and I have learned a great deal in my new position.
Winston cares about its people and has proven its flexibility time and again. As of 2014, six attorneys and staff have transferred to Charlotte from other offices. It is common to see firm employees promoted from within. I am proud of my tenure at Winston and the opportunity to contribute to three different administrative departments and two offices.
