Winston’s Chicago Office Delivers Well-Being and Cheer to Seniors
Blog
May 19, 2022
Winston for Good volunteers recently assembled 200+ well-being kits that will be given to low-income seniors by Meals on Wheels Chicago. The kits included playing cards, adult coloring books, journals, hand sanitizer, and lotion. Each kit also included a handwritten note from a Winston for Good volunteer.
Currently, one in six Chicago seniors struggles with food insecurity. On top of that, many feel isolated and lonely. For some, their only interaction with other people is when their meals are delivered each week. Hopefully, our Winston for Good well-being kits will help them feel more connected and cared for.
The Winston for Good volunteers who participated in this event include Ken Berry, Garrett Cyborski, Lauren Frank, Lisa Grasser, Diana Guzman, Shannon Hinton, Carlos Martinez, Donna Michi, Nicolette Mirabelli, Beth Myburgh, Emanuel Payton, Diane Sorenson, Nadja Thompson, Jenni Winegar, and Grace Wojcik.
