Winston & Strawn Names Five New Office Managing Partners

CHICAGO – Winston & Strawn LLP today announced the appointment of five new leaders to key firm offices in Houston, Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, and Washington, D.C.

Winston & Strawn’s Executive Committee periodically realigns management and leadership. The new office managing partners will focus on continuing the firm’s recent growth and driving implementation of Winston’s strategic plan.
Winston & Strawn’s Vice Chair (and former New York office managing partner) Michael Elkin commented, “We look forward to working with our new leaders in implementing various goals identified in our strategic plan at the office and regional levels.”
The new office managing partners are among the firm’s most accomplished leaders:
Robb Adkins (San Francisco) is a nationally recognized trial attorney with extensive experience in complex white collar matters across federal and state enforcement agencies. He is head of litigation for Winston’s California offices and co-chair of the firm’s White Collar, Regulatory Defense & Investigations Practice. He focuses on white collar and internal investigations, corporate compliance, complex civil litigation, trials, government enforcement defense, and Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) issues.
Jonathan Birenbaum (New York) focuses on complex M&A and financing transactions primarily in the energy and infrastructure sectors. His experience includes deals involving numerous renewables and gas-fired projects, pipelines, transmission lines, and storage facilities. Jonathan’s work in renewables and alternative energy has been recognized in Chambers USA and Legal 500.
Eva Davis (Los Angeles) serves as co-chair of Winston’s Private Equity Practice and concentrates on U.S. and cross-border complex business transactions. Eva has counseled domestic and international clients in public and private M&A transactions, debt and equity financing transactions, initial public offerings, distressed sales and bankruptcy investments.
David Rogers (Washington, D.C.) focuses on employee benefits matters, including all areas of qualified and nonqualified retirement plans, health and welfare plans, executive compensation, and executive employment agreements. He represents publicly traded companies and large hospital systems in all areas of ERISA compliance and governance.
