Winston Sponsors and Eva Davis Speaks at USC Gould School of Law’s ICC 2019

Winston & Strawn’s Private Equity Practice Co-Chair Eva Davis spoke at USC Gould School of Law’s Institute for Corporate Counsel (ICC) on December 4. The Institute brings together over 500 professionals annually for programming focused on Los Angeles’ evolving business environment, as well as best practices and changes in the law which can impact business operations. Winston is a sponsor of the event and Partner Diana Hughes Leiden serves on the ICC Board of Governors.

Eva spoke on a panel titled “M&A: Delaware Law Updates,” which discussed the most recent corporation law cases in Delaware and their impact on how deals are executed. The panel highlighted cutting edge trends and developments bearing on a variety of issues faced by M&A lawyers such as deal process, deal protections, disclosure and appraisal rights, among others.

With over 20 years of experience, Eva works with some of the most active private equity funds in the country and provides “astute commercial advice” alongside her strategic M&A counseling when negotiating on behalf of U.S. and global public and private companies, boards of directors, and private equity funds involving their most significant transactional matters. Eva is the managing partner of Winston’s Los Angeles office and is a member of the firm’s Executive Committee.
