March 23, 2020
On March 18, the U.S. State Department’s Directorate of Defense Trade Controls (DDTC) posted this notice on its site to inform industry and the public of the measures it is taking to continue service during the current COVID-19 pandemic. DDTC will continue to operate its Licensing, Compliance, Policy, and Management functions with adjustments in accordance with the U.S. Office of Personnel Management’s (OPM) guidance along with other agency’s guidance. Licensing, Commodity Jurisdiction, and General Correspondence will continue to operate with delays. Enrollment and registration requests are still operating via the DECCS system and are being reviewed on a rolling basis. The DDTC has also established a new option to submit disclosures and related information pursuant to ITAR Section 127.12 via email to DTCC-CaseStatus@state.gov. The Help Desk and Response Team are still running, and the website will continue to provide status updates going forward.
