Resources & Insights
The new administration has recently issued a series of Executive Orders (EO) and other new governmental regulations and directives that have the potential to significantly impact our clients' diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility (DEI) programs. In response to these developments, we have assembled a dedicated, cross-practice team to help our clients navigate these issues.
We are launching Winston’s DEI Compliance Task Force, which brings together experienced lawyers from our Labor & Employment; Government Investigations, Enforcement and Compliance; Government Contracts & Grants; False Claims Act & Government Program Fraud; and Securities Litigation teams.
The Task Force’s primary aim will be to assist clients in understanding the recent EOs and directives from the Department of Justice (DOJ) related to DEI and affirmative action programs, and the implications for their organizations, operations, and missions. Our Task Force will help clients navigate related challenges, risks, and compliance issues, including potential investigations and litigation involving matters ranging from alleged civil rights and False Claims Act violations and employment discrimination claims to government contracting issues and securities litigation. We are closely monitoring these matters and will prepare timely updates on related developments—including newly issued EOs, DOJ directives, court decisions, government investigations and enforcement initiatives, and compliance matters—to guide our clients and our larger community through this rapidly evolving landscape.
Should you have any questions, please reach out to any member of our DEI Compliance Task Force.
