Chicago Alumni Get New Take on Legal Ethics

Winston’s alumni program hosted a breakfast and CLE presentation at the Chicago office on May 23. More than 55 current attorneys and alums had time for casual conversation before Chicago Office Managing Partner Linda Coberly formally welcomed attendees and set the stage for the program speakers.

Litigation Partner Larry Desideri led the CLE presentation, titled “Legal Ethics – The ‘Hollywood’ Perspective.” Using clips from well-known movies about the law, they discussed real-life legal ethics dos and don’ts in the areas of the attorney-client relationship, attorney competence, misrepresentation of facts in negotiations, and spoliation/document destruction.
