Chicago Office Fields Team for 35th Chase Corporate Challenge

Winston & Strawn was among the 683 companies that participated in the 35th running of the J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge® 5K in Chicago’s Grant Park on May 26. More than two dozen of our attorneys and staff finished this year’s race, which set a record for the largest number of entrants for a single-night U.S. event in the 40-year history of the Corporate Challenge Series.

Chicago Corporate Associate Sean Apfelbaum had the fastest time among Winston racers, finishing in 21 minutes 31 seconds for a 106th place finish overall. Legal Secretary Sonia Villarreal came in second among Winston racers, with a time of 30 minutes and 23 seconds. Congratulations to all of the firm’s participants, who enjoyed barbecue and beverages after the race.

In celebration of the Corporate Challenge in Chicago, J.P. Morgan made a donation to Get IN Chicago, which is dedicated to identifying the most effective ways to reduce youth violence.
