Chicago’s Winston for Good team coordinated an online fundraiser that raised enough money to purchase school supplies for nearly 370 back-to-school kits for students served by UCAN—a nonprofit that supports more than 21,000 at-risk children, youth, and families throughout Illinois.
Chicago office members, including many of our summer associates, assembled the back-to-school kits, which include 30 vital supplies such as folders, notebooks, pens, paper, and rulers. This was Chicago’s first in-office Winston for Good event since the COVID-19 pandemic began and the Chicago office turned out in force. Thank you to the following for participating: Emily Allen, Kelsey Bagwill, Ken Berry, Ryan Bradley, Benjamin Carbery, Schantel Deal-Ross, Stephanie Dixon, Jared Epstein, Jake Ferzacca, Lauren Frank, Zoe Goldstein, Maria Gomez, Amber Goodenough, Jacob Johnson, James Jones, Michael Kreamer, Yishi Liang, Dylcia McBlackwell, Lisa McLafferty, Beth Myburgh, Elayna Napoli, Carly Pace, Ariana Palermo, A.J. Winston’s Chicago Summer Associate Class of 2021 came together to assemble back-to-school kits for at-risk youth in Illinois.
Winston’s Dallas office donated 93 backpacks to Brother Bill’s Helping Hand and members of Winston’s Charlotte office purchased enough school supplies to fill 72 backpacks for students served by Families Forward through its Family Success program.
Thank you to the following Charlotte office volunteers who also helped assemble the backpacks: Jason Dickens, Eric Doan, Starling Gamble, Hassan Hagi, Lindsey Kell, Laura Murphy, Debra Palmer, Michelle Roberts, Stephanie Turner and Deb Vitelli.
