Summer Program Features Diverse 1L Roundtable

The talented diverse 1Ls participating in Winston’s 2018 summer associate program engaged in a day of targeted programming during a Diverse 1L Roundtable on June 12 in New York.

Industry-leading career development consultant Werten Bellamy spoke to attendees about what it takes to be a top performer during the summer program and in their careers. Throughout the day, the 1Ls engaged in open dialogue with Winston attorneys on a range of topics from soliciting feedback and recovering from mistakes to the importance of building quality relationships.

Attendees had the opportunity to meet New York-based members of Winston’s diversity and inclusion affinity groups during a reception following the roundtable, and the evening concluded with a dinner with firm leaders hosted by Co-Executive Chairman Jeffrey Kessler.

Winston’s Diversity & Inclusion Committee presented this program in collaboration with the firm’s Hiring Committee and Attorney Recruiting & Development Department.
