Winston Announces 2020 Diversity Scholarship Recipients

We are pleased to announce that the firm has selected eight law students to receive the 2020 Winston & Strawn Diversity Scholarship.
Each recipient participated in the 2020 summer program in one of our U.S. offices and was awarded $25,000 upon acceptance of a full-time offer of employment.

- Aida Liman-Tinguiri, Harvard Law School; New York
- Tyree Petty-Williams, University of Chicago Law School; Chicago
- Matthew Sanchez, DePaul University College of Law; Chicago
Chennell, Jerome, Bobby, and Tyree also participated in Winston’s 2019 summer associate program as 1L Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD) Scholars.
Winston inaugurated the Diversity Scholarship program in 2004 to celebrate our 150th anniversary and demonstrate our commitment to increased diversity within our firm and the legal profession.
Many of our past recipients continue to practice at the firm, including Timothy Hughes, Kathleen Kim, Shreyansi Agarwal, Daphney Lazarus, Yarden Kakon, Jack Leon, and Cynthia Suarez.
