Winston for Good partnered with the firm’s pro bono client Access Bronx Charter to develop and launch a mentorship program for its students.
The Mentor Match Program pairs Winston attorneys and business professionals with rising high school students and is designed to support the mentees in applying to high schools.
Recently, Winston for Good hosted a three-hour workshop for this year’s 10 mentees. The information-packed, half day included the following presentations:
- Managing Stress by Winston’s Director of Coaching & Well-Being Diane Costigan
- Presentation Tips and Tricks by Winston Pro Bono Of Counsel Tara Moss
- Building Your Confidence by Winston Career Development Advisor Amanda Lui
The mentees also participated in a speed interviewing activity and received feedback from the Winston mentors. The workshop concluded with an engaging open-mic session where participants practiced their public speaking skills by sharing inspiring stories and life experiences with the group.
