Winston Lends a Helping Hand to Low-Income Bay Area High School Students

Winston attorneys and business professionals turned out in force to ensure Bay Area high school students fighting poverty and homelessness had back-to-school supplies. Members of Winston San Francisco collectively donated the money to purchase the school supplies and then gathered together to assemble 125 back-to-school kits. The Winston for Good volunteers also wrote notes of inspiration and encouragement for the students. 

The back-to-school kits were distributed by the nonprofit Students Rising Above to high-performing high school seniors who are participating in its Rising Stars program. The Rising Stars program provides comprehensive support to help exceptional low-income students achieve their dream of attending college.
