Winston Meets 1L Students at Top Midwest Law Schools

Our attorneys have had the opportunity to meet talented and diverse 1L students at several top law schools in the Midwest. We enjoyed meeting members of the University of Illinois College of Law Class of 2021 during a “First Look” networking reception held on January 3 at the Metropolitan Club in Chicago. Steve Flores, Allie Gecas, Steven Wittenberg, and Sam Zuidema—all U of I alums—represented the firm at this event, where more than 80 talented and diverse 1L students were eager to learn more about Winston and the practice of law.

Our firm also was pleased to participate in an Employer Showcase for first-year law students at Washington University School of Law held on January 17. Wash U alums Jim Herbison, Courtney Tygesson, and Melanie Lee led a discussion on “OCI Interviewing Tips” with a group of the bright and diverse members of the class of 2021, then headed to the Showcase to meet more Wash U 1Ls and introduce them to Winston.

We look forward to meeting more talented 1L students at the University of Michigan Law School’s “Meet the Employers” night on January 30 and kicking off its 2019 Oral Advocacy Competition that begins on January 31.
