Blog
March 19, 2018
The University of Michigan Law School’s 2018 1L Oral Advocacy Competition officially began on January 17 with a panel discussion presented by Winston litigation attorneys. Partner Sam Lerner and Associate Scott Ahmad, both Michigan Law School alums, provided oral advocacy tips and tricks during the lunchtime presentation.
As a sponsor of the 1L Oral Advocacy Competition, Winston attorneys participated in various training opportunities throughout the competition. Chicago Office Managing Partner Linda Coberly, also a Michigan Law School alum, was a judge the final round of competition held on March 19. She is pictured below with the winners and her fellow judges.
We enjoy participating in this competition every year, which provides 1L students with an introduction to moot court, and look forward to helping the students learn about courtroom advocacy and sharpen their public speaking skills.
