Winston Takes Care and Gives Back
Blog
November 29, 2017
The firm’s Human Resources Department in several of our U.S. offices held Winston Care Wednesdays throughout the month of November to provide firm members with opportunities to focus on personal well-being and to give back in meaningful ways.
The month began with a Fall Pick-Me-Up event in each participating office. On the West Coast, firm members enjoyed bakery treats from Sift while supporting this local business that was impacted by the Northern California Wildfires.
Winston Care Wednesdays events held during November also included a seminar on “Coping with Uncertainty,” presented by the firm’s Employee Assistance Program provider, a guided meditation program, a blood drive, and viewings of TED Talks on finding happiness and being grateful.
Throughout the month, firm members in Chicago were encouraged to take generously from a “Pay It Forward” tree filled with ideas to inspire small acts of kindness. The month concluded with silent auctions in our West Coast offices to benefit Red Cross wildfire disaster relief efforts.
