For the third year running, Winston's in-house rock band Jimmy’s Brother served up the winning performance at the Law Rocks San Francisco competition. The annual event, which featured musical performances by attorneys, took place on April 25.
The legal industry battle of the bands was held at The Chapel, where Jimmy’s Brother played for the Law Foundation of Silicon Valley (LFSV). The Law Foundation teams with firms like Winston to find stable homes for abused and neglected children, help people living with chronic illnesses access the benefits they need to remain healthy and self-sufficient, provide low-income people access to safe and affordable housing, and address a number of other critical issues including domestic violence, discrimination, human trafficking, mental health and more.
Cheered on by a big crowd that included firm members and friends, the band ‘three-peated’ as both overall champion and judges’ award winner, raising nearly $27,000 for LFSV. Proceeds from the night across all seven bands totaled more than $136,000.
Led by Winston Partners John Schreiber (lead vocals) and Ian Eisner (guitar, vocals), the performance included Winston band members Deven Klee (keyboard) and George Mastoris (violin), and Farella, Braun + Martel band members Jesse Debban (lead guitar), Josh Dobies (drums, vocals), and Chip Mallori (bass).
Jimmy’s Brother has been invited to play Law Rocks 10th-anniversary show in London this June.
