Winston’s London Office Hosts Career Day for Harris Federation Academies
Blog
July 4, 2024
Winston for Good volunteers in London recently hosted a career day for 20 A-Level students who attend Harris Federation academies in London and Essex. The Harris Federation is a UK charity with the majority of its academies in areas with high levels of socio-economic disadvantage.
London lawyers and professional staff led workshops and gave presentations that covered the path to becoming a successful lawyer as well as what it’s like to practice law in an international firm. Sylvia James, Winston’s chief diversity and inclusion officer, capped off the day with an inspiring presentation on overcoming unconscious bias.
Thank you to the following attorneys, trainee solicitors, and professional staff who made this Winston for Good event a success: Ian Borman, Claire Henderson, Katrina Hughes, Rebecca Jack, Sylvia James, Toran Kaul, Freya MacCormack, Cristina McKenna, Ellen Scott, Emily Simmons, and Agustin Spotorno.
