Supplier Diversity Efforts
Supplier Diversity Efforts
At Winston, we believe that good corporate citizenship includes supporting supplier diversity efforts to create sustainable economic development in the communities where we live and work.
We have established a supplier diversity program to expand the breadth and magnitude of our investment with diverse suppliers.
We strive to expand the breadth and magnitude of our investment with diverse suppliers every year. In 2020, on the anniversary of George Floyd’s murder, we were one of 25 inaugural companies to join the 5/25 Move to Action initiative to advance an equitable and just economic recovery in the Chicagoland region. We pledged to increase our procurement and sourcing from Black and Latinx companies by 25%.
To participate in Winston’s Supplier Diversity Program, a business must be at least 51% owned, controlled, and operated by individual(s) from one of the following groups:
- Minority-Owned Business Enterprise (MBE): African American/Black, Hispanic/Latinx, Native American, or Asian descent
- LGBTQ+-Owned Business Enterprise (LGBTBE)
- Women-Owned Business Enterprise (WBE)
- Disabled-Owned Business Enterprise (DOBE)
- Veteran-Owned Business Enterprise (VOBE)
- Small Business Enterprise (SBE)
