Illinois Supreme Court Remands Case To Cook County Circuit Court

Winston represented Illinois Café & Services Company and Laredo Hospitality Ventures in a constitutional and administrative law challenge to a legislative licensing scheme and Illinois Gaming Board rule that arbitrarily burdened our clients to the benefit of their competitors. The matter was originally dismissed by the Cook County Circuit Court, and our attorneys appealed to the Illinois Appellate Court. The Appellate Court agreed with one of Winston's key arguments and remanded the case to the Circuit Court to review the Gaming Board’s adoption process and rulemaking procedures.
