Winston advised the partners of BCF Life Sciences Group in its sale to Sparkfood

A Winston Paris team advised the partners of Diorren SAS, the holding company of BCF Life Sciences ("BCF"), in the sale of BCF Life Sciences Group to Sparkfood, SA, a subsidiary of the listed Sonae group.

BCF Life Sciences, a French specialist in the extraction of free amino acids, is leaving the MBO+ portfolio but will continue to be managed by its current management team, which has reinvested in the company, along with the group's historic partner, for a total amount of €19.7 million, collectively holding a minority stake of 10.9%.

The acquisition of BCF aligns with Sonae's strategy to establish a global platform in the food tech industry within Sparkfood. Moreover, this transaction underscores Sonae's ongoing commitment to a more sustainable future, representing a significant investment in the circular economy and contributing to the expansion of the group's international presence."
