Winston Represented Rowman & Littlefield in the US$83M Sale of its Academic Book Publishing Business to Bloomsbury Publishing

A team lead by Matt Stockstill and Jeff Cole represented The Rowman & Littlefield Publishing Group, Inc. (Rowman & Littlefield) in the sale of its academic book publishing business to Bloomsbury Publishing PLC for US$83M. Rowman & Littlefield will retain Globe Pequot, its trade publishing arm; Sundance-Newbridge, its K-8 education business; and National Book Network, its trade distribution division. The transaction is an important milestone in Rowman & Littlefield’s 75-year history enabling it to retain its trade publishing and distribution business, and enabling Bloomsbury to become a significant US academic publisher through the addition of 40,000 academic titles.
