2022 Antitrust Conference: The Basics of Antitrust Law for The Novice Attorney

On March 22, Winston & Strawn Antitrust Attorneys Jeffrey Amato, Susannah Torpey, Kevin Goldstein, and Lauren Duxstad participated in MyLawCLE’s “2022 Antitrust Conference: The Basics of Antitrust Law for the Novice Attorney.”
Jeffrey and Kevin presented during Session II on the “Sherman Act, the Clayton Act, and the FTC Act”. This session served as an antitrust primer, introducing viewers to the core federal antitrust laws and their application to price-fixing cartels, monopolization claims, antitrust merger reviews, and more. They provided tips for reducing legal risk when dealing with competitors, distributors, customers, and suppliers.
Susannah and Lauren presented during Session III on “Minimizing Antitrust Risks in Blockchain Applications”. This session introduced blockchain technologies and addressed antitrust risks relating to the design and implementation of blockchain products and services. They also discussed recent legal developments in the area and provided best practices to help companies avoid legal pitfalls while maximizing the potential of blockchain technology.
