2023 African Finance Forum - Investing in African DFIs: Sustaining Growth on the Continent

Winston & Strawn was proud to host the Corporate Council on Africa’s 2023 African Finance Forum on April 12. The theme of this year’s Forum was “Investing in African DFIs: Sustaining Growth on the Continent”.

The Forum brought together U.S. and African financial institutions, private investment companies, fund managers, institutional investors, private sector representatives, and multilateral development agencies for a roundtable discussion regarding the opportunities and challenges facing African Development Financial Institutions (DFIs) and, more broadly, U.S. and other foreign investors interested in investing with and through the African DFIs on the Continent. The roundtable also touched on such related issues as investment strategy and focus of the African DFIs, increasing direct investment on the Continent by the global investment community, strategies for reducing investment risks, and increasing global awareness of the investment success stories on the Continent.

This event further solidifies Winston & Strawn’s commitment to Africa and support for investment on the Continent, and our relationship with the Corporate Council on Africa as the leading U.S. business association focused solely on connecting U.S. and African business interests.
