Amandeep Sidhu Speaks at AHLA’s Fundamentals of Health Law Conference

On November 6, 2023, Winston & Strawn partner Amandeep Sidhu spoke at the American Health Lawyers Association (AHLA) Fundamentals of Health Law Conference in Chicago, IL.

Amandeep presented “It’s a Private Equity World, We’re All Just Living in It: Legal Ethics of Representing Health Care Investors and Portfolio Companies.” This was the third time Amandeep presented on this topic at AHLA conferences. The program covered the basics of legal ethics of representation in the health care and life sciences industries, emphasizing the recent shift in the enforcement landscape targeting private equity investors that exert control or have knowledge of potential violations of the False Claims Act. The program used hypothetical scenarios that closely align with real-world cases in the public sphere.
