Dr. Evelyn Carter Holds Anti-Racism Workshop for Winston & Strawn Attorneys and Staff

In keeping with Winston & Strawn’s ongoing commitment to fighting racism, Dr. Evelyn Carter, managing director of Paradigm Strategy, Inc., recently led an anti-racism workshop for the firm.

According to Dr. Carter, we should not be color blind, but rather we should increase our race consciousness because we all have private beliefs socialized into us and these personal beliefs affect our interactions. Therefore, to be anti-racist we must make frequent, consistent, equitable choices on a daily basis through ongoing self-awareness and self-reflection.

“Being an anti-racist is not about who you are, but what you do,” said Dr. Carter.
