Winston & Strawn Partner and Chair of the Environmental Litigation & Enforcement Practice Jonathan Brightbill taught a CLE course titled “Emerging Risks In ESG: SEC Climate Disclosures and ‘Greenwashing.’”
The course provides corporate and in-house counsel with an overview of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) frameworks and legal requirements for ESG reporting and disclosure. It also examines emerging legal and compliance risks, including the SEC proposal to mandate climate-related disclosures, expanding “greenwashing” litigation and risks, and other federal agency initiatives, and discusses compliance controls and procedures and risk management considerations.
