Winston & Strawn was a proud platinum sponsor of the Finance and Law Summit Awards (FILASA) 2024 held on June 18th in São Paulo, Brazil. This was the 5th edition of the conference organized by Leaders League. 

FILASA is biggest financial legal event in Brazil and this year it brought together more than 600 leaders for a unique and exclusive day of strategic panels on the main issues facing the Brazilian market, followed by the largest financial legal awards in the country, celebrating the best teams of the year. 

In the afternoon, partner and Head of the São Paulo Office, Rodrigo Carvalho, spoke on a panel titled “How can local managers raise funds outside Brazil?” where he discussed current global market conditions for fund raising, best practices, and tips on how to best present yourself to international investors, do’s and don’ts, what is considered a good track record and more with representatives from XP Asset Management, Brunel Partners, and the CAF – Development Bank of Latin America.
