GAR 100 Recognizes Winston & Strawn as a Leading Arbitration Practice
April 16, 2018
Winston & Strawn’s International Arbitration Practice is recognized in the 11th edition of Global Arbitration Review’s GAR 100 survey.
The survey highlights Winston’s track record, including securing summary dismissal of motions filed by Italy against client Eskosol in a high-profile Energy Charter Treaty investment arbitration. Also mentioned is the firm’s representation of Ukraine in French and U.S. court proceedings challenging enforcement of a US$112 million investment treaty award in favor of Russian oil company, Tatneft. Winston continues to represent Ukraine in a related investment treaty claim by the semiautonomous Russian republic of Tatarstan arising from the seizure of an oil refinery.
A client praises Winston’s “dedication and professionalism” in its work on a complex dispute.
