On October 14, Winston & Strawn Co-Executive Chairman and Antitrust/Competition Practice Co-Chair Jeffrey Kessler spoke at an ABA webinar on the baseball antitrust exemption.
Since 1922, Major League Baseball has enjoyed an exemption from antitrust scrutiny. Courts and Congress are once again considering whether that exemption should be abolished or narrowed. Panelists will discuss the history and contours of the exemption and the current challenges to it.
