Julie Goodman Named Chief Corporate Social Responsibility Officer

CHICAGO – Winston & Strawn LLP is pleased to announce the appointment of Julie Goodman to chief corporate social responsibility officer. In this newly created role, Julie will develop and execute the firm’s social responsibility initiatives and charitable activities.

“Julie has a deep understanding of the firm’s mission and core values,” said Tom Fitzgerald, Winston’s chairman. “She is the perfect fit for this role and will help ensure a coordinated and strategic approach for our contributions.”

“Giving back to our communities and partnering with clients on social responsibility efforts are important components of Winston’s history and culture,” added Sue Manch, the firm’s chief talent officer. “Julie will be instrumental in creating and implementing a new strategy to accomplish the firm’s goals for the future.”

Julie’s key responsibilities as chief corporate social responsibility officer will include directing the activities of the Winston & Strawn Foundation, creating programs that encourage attorney and staff commitment to social responsibility, and engaging with clients to partner on community outreach projects. She joined Winston in 1988 and most recently served as the firm’s chief human resources officer.
