Krishnan Padmanabhan Named New York Office Managing Partner

Winston & Strawn recently announced the appointment of intellectual property partner Krishnan Padmanabhan (KP) as New York Office Managing Partner.
KP is a co-chair of Winston’s Technology, Media, and Telecom Industry Group, serves on the Executive Committee, and is part of the firm’s Artificial Intelligence Strategy Group. His practice focuses on high-stakes intellectual property disputes, with an emphasis on patent litigation in the nation’s leading patent jurisdictions. Krishnan’s knowledge extends across an array of technologies, including telecommunications, networking, semiconductors, and medical devices.
In an interview with Law360, KP said he hopes to use the New York office, which currently has 200 litigation and transactions attorneys, to attract new talent. He said he believes Winston’s deep ties with its clients and partners across various practice areas will allow the firm to recruit new talent, noting that attorneys work intimately with clients on a range of matters, allowing them to hone their skills within their practice areas.
“We want to create a destination office—we have an extremely talented… set of partners in the New York office and they have a lot of ambition, so we expect there are a lot of people who want to join us because we have that energy," KP told Law360.
