Laurens Wilkes Joins Winston & Strawn in Houston Office

Winston & Strawn recently announced the addition of Laurens Wilkes to the firm’s Houston office, where he joined as a partner in the Litigation Department and member of the Complex Commercial Litigation Practice. Laurens will serve as the chair of Infrastructure & Projects – Global Disputes.

Laurens’s practice focuses on international arbitration and complex civil litigation in state and federal courts, with an emphasis on infrastructure, fiduciary duty, and products liability disputes. He regularly advises clients in the transportation, energy, construction, and financial industries. His infrastructure experience includes representing both contractors and owners/sponsors as well as lenders. 

“This combination allows me to offer my clients services from front-end project finance and project transactions to back-end disputes ranging from traditional construction-related issues to more nuanced issues that arise between joint venture partners and lenders,” Laurens told Law360. “The complimentary nature of these practices and the ability to be part of Winston's litigation group is a huge benefit, and I am very much looking forward to working with my new Winston colleagues on representing clients on a global scale.”
