LeElle Slifer Addresses New Claims Filed by Megan Thee Stallion Against 1501 Certified Entertainment
April 14, 2023
Winston & Strawn Partner LeElle Slifer was quoted in a Billboard article addressing new claims by Megan Pete, professionally known as Megan Thee Stallion, alleging that her record label 1501 Certified Entertainment has been dissipating bank accounts to make itself “judgement proof.” This comes as the most recent update in the lawsuit originally filed against the record label in February 2022. The case is currently set to go to trial in August 2023.
“1501 strongly disagrees with the substance of Ms. Pete’s recent filings,” said LeElle and co-counsel Kenneth D. Freundlich of Freundlich Law. “The allegations are without merit and we are confident that 1501 will prevail on these motions and ultimately recover the substantial money that Ms. Pete owes 1501.”
