Linda Coberly Reacts to Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s Comments on the Equal Rights Amendment in Q&A with The Atlantic

Linda Coberly—Winston & Strawn’s Chicago Office Managing Partner and Chair of the ERA Coalition’s Legal Task Force—recently discussed Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s comments on the recent efforts to revive the ERA with The Atlantic.

While Justice Ginsburg stated that she would like to see a “new beginning” due to “too much controversy” around the question of whether three-fourths of the states had actually ratified the ERA, Linda maintained that she wasn’t giving up on winning the Justice’s vote.

“There’s an answer to her question,” Coberly said, “and if the case came before her, that answer would be provided, and I have every confidence that she would hear and consider those arguments.”
