Ron Rothstein Speaks at GMA Litigation Conference
February 26, 2014
Winston & Strawn partner Ron Rothstein spoke at the GMA Litigation Conference, held February 25-27, 2014 in Dana Point, CA. This conference benefited law practitioners that deal exclusively with legal issues in the food, beverage, and consumer product industry.
On February 26, Mr. Rothstein co-chaired a panel titled, “Avoiding, Managing, and Settling Class Action Litigation.” This presentation featured both in-house counsel and outside counsel perspectives on avoiding, managing, and settling class action litigation in the food, beverage, and CPG industry. Specific topics included: steps manufacturers can take to avoid class action litigation, considerations for when to settle and when not to settle, and effective ways to convince senior management that class action litigation is not just a passing fad.
Mr. Rothstein is a partner in the firm's Chicago office with experience in complex commercial matters, including class action and Lanham Act false advertising, trademark and cybersquatting litigation, and copyright litigation. He has successfully handled numerous class action false advertising, trademark, and domain name cases in federal courts throughout the United States.
