Sam Mendenhall and Cardelle Spangler Named to Crain’s Chicago’s list of 2022 Notable Black Leaders and Executives

Winston & Strawn Partners Sam Mendenhall and Cardelle Spangler have been named to Crain’s Chicago’s 2022 list of Notable Black Leaders and Executives.
Honorees are chosen based on the positive contributions they have made to the Chicago area’s Black communities, including:
- being able to advance reform matters that disproportionately affect the Black community such as the criminal justice system, gun violence, poverty, and disinvestment;
- helping open opportunities for Black Americans in education, training, jobs, and entrepreneurship; and
- heading a company/ organization or holding a position to hire and advance Black Americans.
Sam Mendenhall is a trial lawyer who is highly respected and praised by clients, judges, colleagues, opponents, and the media for his courtroom skills and advocacy. He concentrates his practice on complex commercial litigation, product liability defense, and class action defense.
Cardelle Spangler is the managing partner of Winston's Chicago office. She has represented clients in complex class action, collective action, multi-plaintiff, and single plaintiff employment litigation. She also has substantial trial experience before state and federal courts, as well as arbitrators.
