Sean Wieber Shares Cybersecurity and Privacy Predictions for 2020 with Law360

Winston & Strawn Litigation Partner Sean Wieber shared in Law360 his predictions for cybersecurity and privacy in 2020, focusing on the uptick in insurance disputes involving coverage for claims arising from Illinois' Biometric Information Privacy Act (BIPA).

Commenting on the uptick, Sean said, “In 2020, we're likely to see insurance carriers start to be even more aggressive in terms of implementing greater exceptions or increasing premiums significantly in order for companies to be protected specifically from biometric claims.”
