Shawn Obi Presents at ACI’s Cosmetics & Personal Care Products Legal Forum

On March 28, 2023, Winston & Strawn Partner Shawn Obi spoke at the American Conference Institute's Legal, Regulatory, and Compliance Forum on Cosmetics & Personal Care Products. The forum brought together industry and legal professionals together to address the growing regulations in the cosmetic industry. 

Shawn's panel, “The 2023 Litigation and Class Actions Outlook for The Cosmetics and Personal Care Products Industries,” explored topics such as:  

• New FDA notifications on labeling claims, product performance, and deceptive advertising;
• the latest wave of PFAS benzene in cosmetics; 
• how cosmetics and personal care product companies can prepare for a class action;
• California-specific litigation as a benchmark for potential class-action litigation in other states.
