Susan Nash Speaks at 2017 Employer Healthcare & Benefits Congress

Employee Benefits & Executive Compensation Partner Susan Nash spoke at the 9th Annual Employer Healthcare and Benefits Congress in Los Angeles on October 2-3.

On October 2, Susan presented a workshop for Certified Corporate Wellness Specialists. Susan also presented on a panel on October 3 titled “Ask the Experts: All Things Compliance– COBRA, MEWA, ERISA, GINA, and More.” This interactive panel provided an understanding of Multiple Employer Welfare Arrangement (MEWA) and the legal requirements to administer such a health plan. In addition, panelists provided clarity on the rules surrounding federal employee welfare benefit plan regulation including: the Affordable Care Act, COBRA, ADA, GINA, and other statutes and regulations, as well as an overview on the reporting and disclosure requirements that apply to health plans governed by ERISA.

Susan assists employers with their health care reform strategy and compliance with laws affecting group health plans.
